Selling PlayStation and Xbox games in Oxnard

A typical PlayStation and Xbox collection has a few PS2 or PS3 games, an Xbox 360 with a bin of discs, and a shelf of PS4 or PS5 games. All of it can go in one offer.

Disc values cover a wide range. Most sports games and yearly releases sell for a few dollars or less, so we price those by the stack. Some PS1 and PS2 games are worth real money, especially RPGs, horror games, and smaller print runs. A few Xbox 360 and PS3 games that never got a reprint sell well too.

The case and manual matter. A PS1 or PS2 game in its original case with the manual sells for more than a loose disc in a paper sleeve. If you moved discs into a binder years ago, look for the empty cases before you send photos.

If you are in Oxnard, Port Hueneme, or El Rio, we drive out for qualifying collections. Nintendo, Sega, and handheld games go in the same offer.

Disc Values

Which PlayStation and Xbox games tend to hold value

This shows where value usually sits by system. We price each notable game from its own recent sold listings.

System Tends to hold value Tends to sell low
PlayStation 1 RPGs, survival horror, and smaller releases, especially with the original case and manual Greatest Hits reprints of common games and discs without cases
PlayStation 2 RPGs, horror titles, and late releases with small print runs Sports games, movie tie-ins, and common shooters
PlayStation 3 Limited editions, some late releases, and games that were never reprinted Yearly sports titles and common shooters
PS4 and PS5 Limited Run and other small-batch physical releases, collector's editions, and sealed copies Mass-market releases that sold millions of copies
Original Xbox Some RPGs and late releases, and complete copies in clean cases Common shooters and sports games
Xbox 360 and Xbox One A short list of games with small print runs, plus collector's editions Most discs, which sell for a few dollars each
Check the disc and the case. Light scratches usually do not change the price. Deep scratches or cracks lower the price. If a disc came from a rental store, it may have a sticker or a different case. Tell us so we price it right.
Condition Notes

What we check on PlayStation and Xbox discs

Disc surface

We look for deep scratches, cracks, and rot along the edge. Resurfacing a disc can help it play, but it can also leave marks that lower the price. Send photos of the disc as it is.

Cases and covers

Original cases with the printed cover art sell for more than generic cases. Cracked hinges and torn cover art lower the price a little. Keep any slipcover or steelbook the game came with.

Black label and Greatest Hits

Early PlayStation games had black-label cases. Later reprints were marked Greatest Hits or Platinum. Collectors usually pay more for the first print, so mention which you have.

Online codes

Many newer games came with a one-time code for online play or extra content. A used code does not stop us from buying the game, and we price it as a used copy.

Tip

If you still have the console, include it. A working PS2, PS3, or Xbox 360 with an original controller adds to the offer, and so do memory cards and the power cable.

Questions

Oxnard video game selling questions

Is there a video game buyer that comes to Oxnard?

Yes. We pick up qualifying collections in Oxnard, Port Hueneme, El Rio, and the harbor areas at no cost to you. We price from photos first, so you know the number before we drive out.

Are my old PlayStation games worth anything?

Some are. Most PS2 and PS3 discs sell for a few dollars, but a group of PS1 and PS2 RPGs, horror games, and small print runs can be worth much more, especially with the case and manual. Send photos and we will tell you which ones carry the value.

Do you buy Xbox 360 and Xbox One games?

Yes. Most Xbox 360 and Xbox One discs sell for a few dollars each, so we price them by the stack. A few titles with small print runs and collector's editions are priced one at a time.

Do you buy PS4 and PS5 games?

Yes. Common PS4 and PS5 games are priced by the stack. Limited Run releases, collector's editions, and sealed copies are priced individually.

What if my discs are scratched?

Send photos anyway. Light scratches usually do not change much. Deep scratches or cracks lower the price, and a disc that will not play is priced lower still.

Do you buy the consoles too?

Yes. We buy PlayStation and Xbox consoles, working or not, plus original controllers, memory cards, cables, and headsets. Tell us what powers on.

How do I get paid?

Cash at pickup, or another method if you prefer. Most sellers are paid the same week they accept our offer.
